For my first professional cover, I was lucky enough to be responsible for the role of The Storyteller, played by the magnificent Eric Owens. Maestro Joana Carniero worked with me extensively on this incredibly difficult role, and I got to know the role intimately. So much so that I was a few hours away from being flown down to the Atlanta Symphony the next summer to perform the role if Eric Owens was not feeling up to it.
